May 03, 2016 Due to Microsoft’s history of being a very proprietary closed-source company there’s a bit of a perception that you wouldn’t be able to compile Applications written in C# and run them in the Open Source world of Linux but I’m going to show you just how easy this has become with a very basic hello world example. Oct 14, 2017 Source code is a computer program in human readable form. However, the machine cannot execute source code. The code must be compiled into machine code before it is useful. On Linux, the 'make' build system is the most common one, and this how-to works for almost all Linux source code packages.
